Heating oil and paraffin, known to many as mineral oil, is a form of energy used for heating or for industrial processes. Traditionally, heating oil has been based on fossil energy, and for climate reasons, its use for heating homes, public buildings, and commercial buildings was banned from 2020. Industrial use is still permitted.
