FAME
FAME (fatty acid methyl ester) is biodiesel produced from vegetable fats or oils, such as rapeseed, soy and palm oil. FAME can be either conventional or advanced biofuel. This is determined by the raw materials from which it is produced. The most common raw material for FAME is rapeseed, which makes it a conventional biofuel. The product standard for auto diesel (EN 590) allows up to 7 percent blending with FAME.
