E10 – petrol with blended bioethanol

Petrol sold on the Norwegian market must meet the requirements of the Product Regulations and the Norwegian-European product standard for petrol (NS-EN 228). All petrol cars in Europe can run on petrol that meets the product standard NS-EN 228. The product standard NS-EN 228 has a separate specification for the product E10, i.e., petrol with up to ten percent bioethanol.
