
MOBILGEAR XMP 320
The Mobilgear™ XMP Series includes extra-high-performance industrial gear oils designed to provide optimum equipment protection and extended oil life, even under extreme conditions. Mobilgear XMP Series oils are based on high-quality mineral base stocks and a unique, proprietary additive system designed to provide excellent protection against conventional wear, such as scuffing, as well as high resistance to micro-pitting fatigue. They can also offer improved lubrication for gearbox rolling element bearings. Mobilgear XMP Series oils offer outstanding rust and corrosion protection compared to conventional gear oils, including when the system is exposed to seawater or acidic water. The oils show no tendency to clog fine filters, even when wet. Moreover, they are highly compatible with ferrous and non-ferrous metals, even at high temperatures. Mobilgear XMP oils are recommended for enclosed industrial gear drives, including steel-on-steel spur, helical, and bevel gears. They are especially recommended for applications that may be subject to micro-pitting (especially heavily loaded gearboxes with surface-hardened tooth chemistries). The oils can also be used in gear applications and locations where severe corrosion is experienced.
