MOBIL SHC GEAR 460
The Mobil SHCu2122 Gear series consists of fully synthetic industrial gear oils with outstanding performance. They are designed to provide excellent protection for gears and bearings, longer oil life even under extreme conditions, and contribute to trouble-free operation and increased customer productivity. These scientifically formulated synthetic oils are developed from synthetic base oils that have exceptional thermal and oxidation properties, as well as excellent flow properties at low temperatures. The high viscosity index of the oils provides less viscosity change with temperature variations, which results in a wider operating temperature range and easier start-up at low temperatures. The oils in the Mobil SHC Gear series contain an advanced additive system designed to provide excellent protection against conventional types of wear such as scuffing, in addition to high resistance to micropitting wear. Compared to the chemistry of conventional gear oils, these oils can improve the lubrication of the rolling bearings in the gearbox. The Mobil SHC Gear series offers outstanding rust and corrosion protection compared to conventional gear oils, even when the oils are contaminated with seawater. They show no tendency to clog fine filters, even at high water content, and have high compatibility with ferrous and non-ferrous metals u2013 even at high temperatures.
