The Mobil SHC™ Gear series is a line of exceptional performance synthetic industrial gear oils designed to provide optimum protection of gears and bearings, and extended oil life. These scientifically formulated synthetic lubricants are developed from synthetic base fluids that have exceptional thermal and oxidation properties and excellent low-temperature fluidity. The high viscosity index provides a wider operating temperature range and easier start-up at low temperatures. The lubricants in the Mobil SHC Gear series contain an advanced additive system designed to provide excellent protection against conventional wear modes such as scuffing, as well as high resistance to micro-pitting fatigue. The Mobil SHC Gear series is recommended for enclosed industrial gear drives including steel-on-steel spur, helical, and bevel gears.
