Gear and bearing oil with excellent properties at high and low temperatures, in addition to improved air release performance in the lower viscosity grades. The products resist mechanical shear, even in heavily loaded gears and bearings, so that there is practically no reduction in viscosity. The oil also has exceptionally good resistance to oxidation and deposit formation at elevated temperatures, in addition to very good resistance to rust and corrosion, wear protection, demulsibility, foam control, and air separation performance, and compatibility with various metals. The oils in the upgraded Mobil SHC 600 series maintain good compatibility with seals and other materials used in equipment normally lubricated with mineral oils.
