Gear and bearing oil with excellent performance at high and low temperatures, as well as improved air release capability in the lower viscosity grades. The products resist mechanical shear, even in heavily loaded gears and bearings, so that there is practically no reduction in viscosity. The oil also has exceptionally good resistance to oxidation and deposit formation at elevated temperatures, in addition to very good resistance to rust and corrosion, wear protection, demulsibility, foam control and air separation capability, and compatibility with various metals. The oils in the upgraded Mobil SHC 600 series maintain good compatibility with seals and other materials used in equipment normally lubricated with mineral oils.
